Bertel O. Steen Sikkerhet AS has through many years delivered material and services to the ­Norwegian Defence and Police Forces. We offer our foreign industrial partners excellent know­ledge about our customer's requirement and operational characteristics as well as superb network within the user groups and the different purchasing departments. In addition to this we continuously monitor all government procurement plans in order to prepare our industry partners as early as possible for the tenders and related on-going processes.

Demanding requirements
According to official Norwegian politics, all foreign defence procurement contracts with a value of 50 mil NOK and more are submitted to offset. Through our thorough knowledge about Norwegian industry we can offer international partners, aiming for this sized defence contracts, an effective support and strategy in dealing with such demanding requirements.

Our consultancy efforts have proven very effective. Since it started in 1968, billions of US dollars have been contracted through our channels.

Biggest single contract was the procurement program for replacement of the old Kobben-class submarines to the new German ULA-class for the Norwegian Navy. Later we were involved in one of the largest procurement processes in Norway, where Eurofighter was represented by our company in the competition for new jet fighters to the Norwegian Royal Air Force. A main contribution in this process was development of the very comprehensive offset plan that followed the competition.

Regional Strength
Previously, our focus has been on European manufacturers, but through our recent development we are now able to offer the same excellent service to companies in the US, Middle and Far East that looks for valuable business opportunities not only limited to Norway, but now also including the whole Nordic region.
