BOS Teknikk
Bertel O. Steen Teknikk AS (BOS Teknikk) is located in Bergen and is the importer and distributor of the products from MTU Friedrichshafen, the core company of Tognum GmbH.
The company's main activity is delivery
of power systems for mobile and stationary, maritime and industrial
applications, based on the well-known brands MTU, Detroit Diesel,
and Mercedes-Benz industrial engines.
This activity comprises design, delivery, commissioning, warranty
work, service and after sale support.
The main market for the company is High Speed Light Crafts, fishery
vessels, offshore vessels and work boats, and commercial vessels as
well as the Royal Norwegian Navy in the marine sector.
Additionally we serve the Oil and Gas industry and supply Cogen
plants for extended use of natural gas in Norway.
BOS Teknikk will from 2010 also provide system deliveries for
marine gensets, in the power range from 500kW to 3000kW for both
on-board power supply and special design used for powering of
Platform Supply Vessels with diesel-electric propulsion systems.
BOS Teknikk will carry-out the production of these system
deliveries in-house in order to maintain the high standards and
reliability for the power systems, and for continuation of the MTU
standard product supply.
BOS Teknikk has just completed (in Q2 2010) a new workshop, where
we can offer complete maintenance and overhaul of all MTU engines.
This is highly valuable for the customer as they can have product
and system deliveries, service work and engine overhaul and
maintenance form one single supplier.
We also have a well equipped training centre with all relevant
engines and electronics for training purposes. BOS Teknikk is MTU's
preferred partner for training in northern Europe, and has the MTU
training responsibility for the Nordic countries.
